FBCCI Business Delegation visited Turkey to attend
the 'Turkey-Pacific Foreign Trade Summit & Buyer Mission'

 

Dhaka, Monday, 23 June, 2008

 

A 28 member business delegation of Bangladesh led by Mr Annisul Huq, President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) visited Turkey recently to attend the Turkey-Pacific Foreign Trade Summit & Buyer Mission programme. Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON) organized the summit in Istanbul during 16 to 21 June, 2008 with a view to bringing together businessmen from Asia - Pacific countries. 465 businessmen from 20 countries of the Asia Pacific region discussed joint business projects at the Summit.

 

During the visit the FBCCI President along with his team members called on Hon'ble President of Turkey H.E. Mr. Abdullah Gul. They have very warm and friendly discussion at the meeting. The FBCCI delegation also met the leaders of business community and dignitaries of Turkey. The Turkish businessmen expressed their interest to invest in Bangladesh and exporting Bangladeshi products. A Turkish delegation is expected to visit Bangladesh soon in this regard.

 

FBCCI has signed an agreement of mutual cooperation with TUSKON for the promotion of trade and business between Bangladesh and Turkey. Mr. Annisul Huq, President, FBCCI and Mr. Rizanur Meral, President of TUSKON on behalf of their respective Chamber signed the cooperation. Under the agreement both chambers will exchange trade missions, support or co-sponsor, trade and investment seminars, supply relevant market information, etc.  The chambers will assist each other holding exhibition in the home market of the other and will cooperate exchanging trade and business enquiries & conducting research and training programs for human resource development.

 

Other members of the FBCCI delegation were Mr. Abu Alam Chowdhury, Vice President, FBCCI and Mr. Abdul Haque, Director of FBCCI.

FBCCI Business Delegation  off to Malaysia to attend
the 'Bangladesh Festival and Trade Fair'

 

Dhaka, Tuesday, 17 June, 2008

 

A 7 (seven) member business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) led by Acting President Mr. Abul Kashem Ahmed off to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday (16.6.2008) to attend Bangla Mela-the Bangladesh Festival and Trade Fair to be held during 17-19 June 2008 in Exchange Trade Center International, Kuala Lumpur. The Fair has been organized by Eco-tourism Federation in Bangladesh, EFB, jointly collaborating with FBCCI in cooperation with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL with the support of Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia.
 

During the visit the FBCCI delegation will meet their counterparts and discuss ways and means to develop bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Malaysia.

 

Other members of the FBCCI delegation are Mr. Md. Serajul Haque, Mr. Md. Aminul Bari and Mr. Mahbub Islam Runu, Directors of FBCCI. FBCCI President Mr. Annisul Huq is now also outside the country to attend an International Summit in Turkey. During the absence of President, First Vice President and Vice President of FBCCI, Mr. Obaidur Rahman, Director, FBCCI will act as President. The FBCCI delegation is expected to return to Dhaka on 19 June 2008.

FBCCI Business Delegation  off to Turkey to attend

A 9 (nine) member business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) led by President Mr. Annisul Huq went to Istanbul, Turkey recently to attend the Turkey-Pacific Foreign Trade Summit & Buyer Mission programme. 

 

The Summit has the support of Business leaders of apex chambers of the Asia and European Countries. It will tackle a number of regional and international economic issues from the perspective of the private sector's role in economic and social development.

 

During the visit the FBCCI delegation will attend bilateral business meetings with their counterparts and will visit an exhibition. The private sector leaders will pursue for joint venture and foreign investment in the country. The FBCCI leaders will meet the representatives of the apex Chamber of Commerce of Istanbul & Turkey  and the dignitaries of Turkey.

 

Other members of the FBCCI  delegation are Mr. Abu Alam Chowdhury, Vice President, FBCCI and Mr. Abdul Haque, Director of FBCCI. During the absence of Mr. Annisul Huq, President, FBCCI, Mr. Abul Kashem Ahmed, First Vice President, FBCCI will act as President. The FBCCI delegation is expected to return to Dhaka on 21 June, 2008.

FBCCI Business Delegation  off to China to attend
the 3rd China-South Asia Business Forum 

 

Dhaka, Wednesday, 4 June, 2008

 

A 32 (thirty-two)-member business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left Dhaka today (4/6/2008) for Kunming, China to attend the 3rd China- South Asia Business Forum to be held during 4-6 June, 2008 at China.

 

The Forum will be inaugurated by Mr. Wan Jifei, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The Forum has the support of Business leaders of regional and apex chambers of the South Asian Countries. It will tackle a number of regional and international economic issues from the perspective of the private sector's role in economic and social development.

 

During the visit the FBCCI delegation will meet the Vice Prime Minister of Yunan Province, Chairman of CCPIT and the Governor of Yunan province of China. The FBCCI leaders will also have meetings with their counterparts and dignitaries of the province.

 

The FBCCI delegation will attend the opening ceremony of Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair. The FBCCI leaders will interact with the Chinese entrepreneurs at the Fair. They will also visit Guanzi city.

 

Mr. S M. Shafiuzzaman, Director of FBCCI is leading the FBCCI delegation. Other members of the delegation are Mr. Obaidur Rahman, Mr. Shafquat Haider, Mr. Md. Jalal  Uddin, Mr. Mahbub Islam Runu and Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmad, Directors of  FBCCI & the general body members of FBCCI. The FBCCI delegation is expected to return to Dhaka on 9 June, 2008.
